New Baby Card for a Baby Boy - Made using Cricut

I was really pleased with this card when it was made as a request for a neighbour, they had stopped me in the street to ask if i still made cards, it must have been because of the handmade christmas cards I sent out last year!
I said yes, she told me what she wanted and i advised that large cards made to order were £2.50 she said "is that all?" and i said i would drop it round to her.

So I made this card for her and dropped it round, and left it with someone else in the house hold explaining to them what it was for. i have left it for several months and even not blogged the card as i was a little miffed and she has never paid for it. I know its only £2.50 but i just feel its a little rude!
I saw her afterwards and she avoided me several times so i don't feel comfortable to approach her!!
Anyway i felt i had to tell the little story about this card as i had held off blogging it for so long!

The font i have used is Don Jaun on my cricut and i think the papers are K&Co
The little die cuts in the collage at the side are also cricut and finished with some ribbon and some bling

Hope you like the card, sorry its an older card.... I have spent all my free time and energy putting my massive lot of dies on ebay!! There is a link on the right if you fancy a look!

Flower Birthday Card using Tim Holtz Sizzix Alterations Rosette Die

Today's offering is a card made with my Tim Holtz Rosette Die

As with most of his dies i think it is a little hard to come by at the moment, but if you contact Susan at Country view crafts she will pop you on her waiting list (still with free PnP too!)

The Centre of the flower is actually a discontinues Stampin up stamp set called circle of friendship just stamped in colours to match the card stock - i am loving red and turquoise right now and think i may well use this combo on some Christmas designs too!!!

The "rosettes" are quite east to put together once you have had a practise - don't use your best card on your first attempt!

The stems were made by chopping up some adhesive border strips, i wanted to keep them simple to leave the focus on the flowers!

Spooky Halloween Magnets Made using Sizzix Dies and Magnetic Foam

Theese have turned out beeter than I thought they would!!!

I find lately that i am too quick to buy ready made embellishments which are not so cost effective so i have put myself on a ready made embellishment ban!!
I think it works out much better to buy a die and then you can get so many uses from it!!

This month I treated myself to 3 new hlloween dies, i say halloween but the spider will be great all year round, it is my fave of the 3 dies i got (pumpkin, bats and spider)
I have also used a ghost die that i have had for years too to complete the set of magnets!
They have been embellished with glitter glue and stickles just to give them a little bit of depth!

This is them stuck to my drawers while i work on a packet for them!

dies used were all sizzix medium originals dies:
Bats #3
Spider #2
Pumpkins #3
Ghosts

If you are looking for some new dies, please do checkout the link to country view crafts in my sidebar
